The Monster loves everything about this place. Let’s start with it is equidistant from his house and work. Perfect spot to while away a night. Add in it has a great patio to watch the world cruise by. And the menu is a nice collection of small plates that tend toward South American comfort food.
With Mrs. Monster we shared the following: fried pickles, shrimp cocktail Veracruz, Baja fish taco’s, chicken queso empanadas, bread with three fantastic accompaniments and buttermilk pie for dessert. Oh, but the menu promises so much more. Rare is a place where The Monster leaves saying wish we ordered…but this is such a place. Next trip The Monster will try Norma’s Chipotle beer shrimp, Peruvian sashimi, halibut with lemon gremolata, mac n’ cheese and the banana cream pie.
Why go? Because good food, great atmosphere and a cold beer make the world a place worth living.
