REVIEW: NEW YORK PIZZA & PASTA

The first question is why is there sawdust on the floor?  The second question is what did The Monster do to piss off the guy at the cash register.  He looks like he’s never smiled before.  The third question is how can a place call itself NY Pizza & Pasta and yet no one who works here is a New Yorker?

So, it’s in a horrible strip mall where parking sucks and the service isn’t all that great.  You can get thin or Sicilian crust pizza, heros and salads along with entrees like chicken parm or stuffed eggplant with ricotta cheese.  The question is why you would get these things here?

The lag between ordering and receiving food leaves time for The Monster to come up with scenarios as to how a Hispanic man has come to be the pizza maker at NY Pizza and Pasta.  Wonder if somewhere in Mexico an Italian is at the helm of a burrito joint?

As for the pizza?  Meh.  It’s not terribly good.  In fact, the Sicilian is pretty near terrible.  It’s undercooked cheese and oily, doughy crust.  The Monster doesn’t even finish it.  And he’s hungry.

Why go?  You aren’t very discriminating.
