Los Angeles is pure mad magic. Only explanation. Because you pull into the ugliest strip center in the oddest part of town and damn skippy if you don’t find a great restaurant.
Enter Inti Peruvian. It’s requisite ugly. Of course the television is on too loud. Soccer. Yep. There’s a huddle of Peruvians drinking beer and…drinking beer. Someone offscreen is vacuuming. In short order The Monster has downed an entire bowl of aji and bread. It’s not mad hatter spicy but the sweats will be coming.
Then the mixed ceviche appears and it looks dynamite. Shrimp, squid, scallops, its citrus bite is clean and fresh and delicious. And the portion is huge.
True story. Mrs. Monster calls last week in a mad tizzy. She has the airline on one line and The Monster on the other. As the story goes the only place on earth we can use miles when we want to take a vacation? Peru. And we must decide right now. So apparently we are heading to Peru. Macchu Picchu here we come. In that respect Inti is vacation research. If The Monster eats like this in Peru he’s moving there.
Why? Because Saltado de Camarones is the bomb. You have shrimp, you have onion, you have tomato, you have French fries and you have rice. What could possibly be better? Inti’s version is making it near possible The Monster never deals with Mario’s horrible parking lot and surly service again.
The server at Inti smiles! She brings water! She’s awesome! The food isn’t a salt bomb! Bye-bye Mario’s! The Monster still loves you but he’s found another.
Why go? Delta Airlines.
