Let’s say you’re in DTLA. And you want ice cream. It’s a hot day. Ice cream is delicious. You went to the gym in the morning. Stop judging.
Now let’s say you really dig bicycles. You ride them everywhere. Yours has a really cool basket. And tassels on the handle. Or you hate electricity. But you really love ice cream. Enter Peddler’s Creamery.
The newest dairy and non-dairy ice cream shop has set up on Main Street and they churn out small batch flavors using the power of a bicycle. They even will deliver their stuff to you (on a bike of course). If that’s not enough they promise to donate five percent of their profits to worthy causes. So you can feel good about yourself to boot (and help offset the feeling that the small scoops and high prices might not be quite worth it).
But really you only care, is the stuff any good? The Monster gives the pancake batter and carrot cake ice cream a whirl.
The pancake batter is great. The carrot cake is not. While the pancake batter is creamy the carrot cake is oddly dry. So The Monster goes one for two. The carrot cake ends up in the trash. The pancake batter in the belly.
And then The Monster gets in his car and drives back to Santa Monica.
Why go? You’re a hipster.
