REVIEW: LOU MALNATI’S

Upon arrival for a one day trip to Chicago (red eye in, flight out the next day, ouch) The Monster heads straight out to gorge on some Chicago style pizza at Lou Malnati’s.

It’s a perfect summer day so unfortunately all the tables outside are already spoken for.  The Monster snags a seat by the window and takes in Chicago in all its glory.  It’s good to be back.

You’ve come here to fatten up on deep dish pizza. And so it is that a classic Italian salad and individual pizza are the order along with an Arnold Palmer.

As the individual pizzas are pre-baked and then finished upon order the food comes out fast which is perfect for this hungry traveler.

The salad is delicious, tangy and tart vinaigrette and loads of vegetables. But don’t fill up on the opening act because the headliner is soon to arrive.

And then it does in all its cheesy, tomatoey goodness and it’s like you never left Chicago.

You leave full, happy and a touch nostalgic and only wish you were heading over to Wrigley Field to catch a Cubbies game.

Why go? You’re back in Chitown.
